ANY Diary May

Connection is the new luxury.

HELLO MY LOVE,

The past few weeks have moved me in a special way — not just as the founder of ANY DI, but also personally.

Between Hamburg, Singapore, interviews, events, and many conversations, there were always moments when I realized how much my view on entrepreneurship, success, and luxury has changed.

And perhaps that's exactly the theme of this month: That in the end, it's not perfection that counts — but connection.

ANY DI for everyone —DFNI Inspiring Women Awards Singapore

A very special highlight for me was the DFNI Inspiring Women Award in Singapore.

Amidst all the conversations and encounters, one topic became particularly clear to me: Connection. We live in a world that is becoming ever faster and more efficient. And precisely for that reason, genuine human connection is becoming increasingly valuable. For me, luxury today no longer means distance or perfection. But rather closeness. Emotion. Honesty. Connection is the new luxury.

It was all the more special for us to be able to support the award this year as an official partner. Every nominated woman received an ANY DI SunCover — and every winner received our Puffer Bag.

For me, it was more than just a gift. It was a small token of appreciation for all the inspiring women, their stories, and their courage. And that's exactly the feeling I want for ANY DI: to create products that not only accompany women — but make their everyday lives a little easier and more beautiful.

STRIVE Interview

Recently, I had the opportunity to discuss the origins of ANY DI with Katharina Wolff and STRIVE. And the honest answer to this day is: ANY DI did not emerge from a grand business plan. Instead, it was born out of frustration. From that small, everyday problem that many probably know: the eternal search for sunglasses in one's bag.

At some point, I simply refused to accept that anymore. So I started looking for a solution that was functional—but still beautiful. I still believe today that the strongest ideas originate precisely there: when people start wanting to make things better.

Women in Travel Retail x Gebr. Heinemann

At the end of May, I had the pleasure of speaking at Gebr. Heinemann in Hamburg, together with the Women in Travel Retail Community.

The original topic was supposed to be female leadership. But in the end, it was about much more: courage, personal development, and how important genuine relationships have become in business. One of my biggest learnings in recent years is: business will always remain a people business. Often, the most important opportunities don't arise in large meetings – but in honest conversations between two people.

Behind the scenes, we're currently working on many new ideas and projects that I'm very excited about. Some of them have been in the making for months. Others arose spontaneously from encounters in recent weeks.

And that's exactly what I love about this journey: you never quite know where it will take you. Thank you for being a part of it.

Love,
Anne
