Das Canvas hat bereits eine schmutz- und wasserabweisende Beschichtung. Dennoch lohnt es sich und erhöht die Langlebigkeit des PhoneBags, Schmutz und Flecken so frisch wie nur möglich zu entfernen und die Imprägnierung regelmäßig aufzufrischen. Flecken auf Canvas werden, z.B. mit milder Seife, einem kleinen Schwamm und lauwarmem Wasser schonend beseitigt. Wichtig ist hier, den Baumwollstoff anschließend gut trocknen zu lassen.
