Mit der optimalen Pflege von Nappa- und Suede (auch Velour genannt) bleibt das Leder lange schön und sieht auch nach häufigem Tragen noch aus wie neu. Die Nappaleder-Elemente des PhoneBags können mit einer farblosen Lederpflege behandelt werden. Mit einem weichen Microfastertuch lässt sich Schmutz und Staub sanft entfernen. Vor dem ersten Tragen sollte das Leder imprägniert werden, so wie auch später in regelmäßigen Abständen. Das ermöglicht dieses auch über lange Zeit zu erhalten.
Bei Rauleder-Produkten besteht auf Grund des Materials die Möglichkeit der Übertragung der Farbe des Leders, daher sollten dunkel Velours-Produkte nicht mit heller Kleidung getragen werden. Dies passiert unabhängig von der Qualität der Produkte. Stärker von Reibung betroffene Teile der Produkte sind aus Nappa-Leder gefertigt.
